Hector Peterson Memorial
Hector Peterson was one of the youngest children shot on June 16, 1976 when 15,000 children gathered to protest the teaching of Afrikaans. He was one of 600 children that died that day. This was viewed as a turning point of the liberation movement as it woke the world up.
